
In this new free tutorial we'll look at speeding up our rotoscopes by using a procedural matte to do most of the work. The most important part of the tutorial is figuring out what a procedural matte is!
This advanced tutorial expects you to know the Mocha interface quite well. If you don't then check out Rock Steady: Successful Motion Tracking in Mocha.
Main Goals
- The first section looks at creating the matte that will do much of the work for us.
- The next part gets into the nitty gritty of rotoscoping bits in and other bits out.
- Then finally we bring the whole thing back into After Effects and use mochaShape to complete our "impossible roto".
